The very first Avenue Red upload was Avenue Red 1210 Mk1 - Alec Pritchard. The title and concept of this sister series pays homage to the mainstay of vinyl DJ'ing culture... the legendary Technics 1210 Turntables, which first appeared on the market back in 1972! The DJ carefully selects 12 records, with every record being at least 10 years old, uprooting some forgotten and unheard sounds from each featured DJ's personal record collection.
Now almost 7 years after the first episode, Alec returns with Mk11... It's a strange potion of melancholic, deep, soulful, groovy, mysterious house music with some unusual electro and techno sounds also stirred into the pot. Served with a garnish of human DJ'ing soul, minor mistakes and many clicks, crackles & pops along the way.
