The 12th instalment of the Avenue Red Podcast comes from Roberto Vitrani, a 40 year-old veteran DJ and long-time record collector from the coastal town of Manfredonia in the South-Eastern region of Italy. Roberto plays at his own events in various intimate and cosy surroundings in bars and small clubs in his hometown.
Roberto was previously unknown to us but we noticed him popping up in the comments of our previous episodes and checked out a mix he had recently uploaded - we asked him to dig through his records, record us a mix and send the wav over. What we have is a one-take session of Roberto playing from his impulses to create a nice set of grooving techy house and some tougher-edged techno records that all glow with character and rhythmic energy. We think it's a really nice trip, one that is best appreciated in one sitting - if you skip through you'll miss the flow, which is very expertly crafted in this mix. **Download button!**
