The Avenue Red Podcast presents a fresh addition to the roster. Welcome Kyrro (real name George Kury) who is originally from France and is now based in Amsterdam, the Dutch capital city full of red light districts, trippy weed cafes and intriguing bars and clubs with a strong undercurrent of underground electronic music culture.
Kyrro sent us a few mixes in the past and there was a sad story: an accidental data loss occurred on both sides and an incredible 1-hour mix he created to be released on Avenue Red was lost forever. This is the new improved version, the final directors cut, which has come 1 year later and we are over the moon to be able to finally do this!
One word comes to mind from the sounds within: Glacial. This mix really captures a mood of travelling through cold icy waters and exploring landscapes full of glaciers... the loneliness, the isolation - apart from the odd polar bear - and the beautifully barren nature of such a place is all wrapped up into one dreamy, textured package... full of echo, melancholy and slow, timeless motion.
"I grew up in France in the 90's playing electric guitar and experimenting with synthesizers. I produce analogue soundscapes using hardware tools with a mix of raw elements and a modern touch. I love living in Amsterdam where I am constantly working to shape deep and ambient electronics into my own sound, while continuing to explore new musical horizons.
