It's time to introduce another act from Iceland. Emerging from the cold, bleak, beautiful land of many contrasts and a massively high per-capita population of true underground music heads, Avenue Red welcomes a friend and DJ/collector Ása Lind Finnbogadóttir AKA Álfbeat from Reykjavik.
This trailblazing 68-minute session encompasses a wide range of styles: from abstract electronic breakbeats to IDM; from razor sharp futuristic electro to deep, minimalistic techno. Here Ása shows her musical maturity and wisdom, with top quality mixing and classy, considered sequencing to open her account here at Avenue Red! It's also uplifting to see that, as is common with the Icelandic underground folks, plenty of support is given to her fellow Icelandic creators in this "far-out" set of tracks that are both stark and enchanting, like the local landscapes.
