Avenue Red is proud to present a multi-genre underground DJ/selector who we have known about and admired since around the time Avenue Red launched in 2013. Enter Ayumi from Brooklyn, New York - a very busy and productive mixmaster who can string together a perfect set of seemingly any style of electronic music with equal aplomb. With perfect mixing and interesting tunes that keep you curious, guessing what's next, grooving, dreaming, stepping... he has done over 100 such high quality mixes, which are all available on his Soundcloud page.
The majority of his mixes are of a style that overlaps in large amounts with the stylistic output of Avenue Red, so we figured it was high time to send an invitation his way. In response, Ayumi has dropped us 73 minutes of deep, dubbed-out house and techno tracks, mixed to the maximum standard and intelligently arranged into something wholesome and beautiful that is greater than the sum of its parts.
"Here's a mix of Dub Techno / House that represents my journey living in my neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn, NYC. I wanted to capture how it is raw, groovy with so much soul. Dub Techno / House can often sound similar and sometimes even monotonous, which can be great for smooth listening.
