Today, we will hear how the Teacher addresses the pursuit of pleasure and shows how that too is a dead end out of the maze of life. There is no satisfaction from pleasure under the sun. As we go through Ecclesiastes 2, we will see three things about pleasure: 1) pleasure promises much, but 2) pleasure produces pain when it’s pursued above all else, that’s because 3) pleasure points beyond itself… It points over the sun.
