The Story - Judg. 2-4; 6-8; 13-16;: Ever stopped to consider the patterns of your life? From daily routines, to behavioural tendencies and spiritual habits, patterns govern a significant portion of our lives. This week in The Story, God's people have settled into their new home, but rather than flourish, they descend into a degenerative pattern of depravity and oppression. In the depths of their despair, God faithfully responds to their cries for help; providing deliverers (Judges) to rescue them. Yet, for every time they're saved, the pattern simply repeats. Stepping back to evaluate our patterns and their likely outcomes is wise. As always, God responds to our cries for help, and calls out to us, inviting us to set new patterns that lead us on a journey of transformation into the likeness of His Son, Jesus.
