Overview- Jesus Curses The Fig Tree, But Why? Matthew 21:18-19.
In our message today we read about how, a hungry Jesus comes up to a fig tree (outside the season of figs), expecting the tree to have food so He can eat, but the fig tree has no fruit on it. So Jesus gets angry with the tree and curses it, and so it withers away.
Now why would Jesus get angry with the tree for not having food, when it wasn't the time of year for it to have figs?
And why is the punishment for the tree so severe, that Jesus causes it to wither?
