Overview- Jesus Stands Before The Governor. Matthew 27:11-26.
In our sermon this week we read of how the religious leaders bring Jesus Christ to stand before Pilot, the governor of Judea, so that they could accuse Him, for they were trying to get Pilot to put Him to death.
While the Jewish leaders are accusing Jesus, what is Pilot concerned about?
Just how intent were the religious leaders in getting Pilot to condemn Jesus to death?
Now the Bible tells us that while the religious leaders accused Jesus before Pilot, He answered nothing in defense for Himself.
Why did Jesus not defend Himself against the false accusations of the Jews?
