Overview- The Great Apostasy. 1 Timothy 4:1-5.
In our sermon today we focused most of our message on 1 Tim 4:1- Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith. This is called apostasy from the faith, which just means there will be a falling away from the simple truths of God’s Word and who Jesus Christ really is.
And what we have seen up to this point in time has been a great falling away from the simple truths of God’s Word and who Jesus Christ really is, which is why the sermon is titled, the great apostasy.
So in my sermon today I speak out on many of the different apostate and false beliefs that are coming out of the so-called Christian churches in our world, and I use this message to expose them by shining the light of God’s simple truths upon them.
Apostasy from the true faith of Jesus Christ is a terrible thing because only the one true Jesus Christ and the true teachings of the Bible can help someone get saved. Which means that the false and apostate teachings of who Jesus Christ is and the false teachings of the Bible can’t help someone get saved.
So I must ask you who read this overview today some very important questions:
Are you in a church that teaches apostate or false beliefs?
How do you know if you really believe in the real true Jesus Christ that the Bible talks about?
How does the Bible even tell someone that they can be saved?
Hint, it’s not “just pray this prayer to accept Jesus”.
I am not sure if you really know the answer to these questions, but I cover these today in this sermon titled, the great apostasy.
May God richly bless you as you seek Him
