Overview - The Last Days Religious Impostors. 2 Timothy 3:1-9.
In our sermon today we read some more of Pau’s letter to Timothy. This time he writes to him in regards to the last days, or the days that proceed the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He tells us that these days will be very perilous, or evil. And he says that these days will be this way because of the very evil people that will be alive and acting very unholy towards God.
But in a shock, Paul actually tells us that these very evil people, who will be acting very unholy towards God, will be religious, and have a form of godliness, but will deny it’s power.
What does this mean?
How can someone be very religious yet be very evil, and act in very unholy ways towards God?
And, when will these last days be?
