Overview – The Crown Of Righteousness. 2 Timothy 4:5-10.
In our sermon today Paul encourages Timothy to keep being faithful to, and finish the ministry that God had given him to do, and he writes this to in light of how he had been faithful to finish the race for Jesus Christ, and was now at the end of his life.
Timothy was in need of continuing to be faithful to Jesus Christ, Paul was at the end of the road of being faithful to Jesus Christ.
Why would continuing to be faithful to Jesus Christ until the end of one’s life be important?
Because as Paul also says in this section, there is a crown of righteousness that is waiting to be attained, which can only be attained IF we endure in the faith of Christ being in Christ until the end of our lives.
