Overview – Be Holy For I Am Holy. 1 John 1:5-10.
John has some news to tell us in this section about a message that Jesus Christ gave about God when He walked on earth in the flesh.
That message: God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all.
But that is not the only message John has for us today. He also tells us that since God is light, those who profess Him are supposed to walk in the light, and not in that darkness.
What is the light that God is?
What is the darkness that God IS NOT?
What does John mean by telling those that profess Him they need to walk in the light?
