Description

Overview – Paul And The Fortunate Young Man. Acts 20:7-12.

In our message today We had two main points. 1st we looked at how there is a clear pattern of the fact that there was a New Testament church that resembles the literal church as we see it today. A church service, supported pastors and leaders, a congregation, and they would all come together into some type of building as a church body, to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ together. Today this is a concept that many who profess the name of Jesus Christ fight against. This is a sad movement because theirs is NOT a claim that is Biblically supported.

So, for my 1st main point to this message, I show you proof that the very first Christians in the Bible, actually had Sunday church services the way we see our churches running today.

The 2nd part of my message focused on Paul and a fortunate young man and a terrible event that happens to the young man because of Paul’s long-winded preaching. Paul and the believers of the Asian city of Troas, come together to have their Sunday church service, on Sunday, and Paul continues on for roughly 4 to 6 hours. Well, about midnight, a certain young man gets weary and falls asleep, falling to the ground from a 3rd story window, and dies. Paul falls down on him, hugs him, and declares him alive. How did Paul go about doing this, as the scripture doesn’t record any way in which he prayed for him, or commanded him to come alive in the name of Jesus Christ? It was due to one of Paul’s main spiritual gifts from God, his gift of healing, and his faith in that gift that God would heal the fortunate young man.

So, for my 2nd main point to this message I talk about the spiritual gifts God gives His kids today, and how and why we should use them, because we are supposed to be using them.

There is a large amount of detail that I spoke about in this message that I left out of this overview, so come take a listen to the message and get all the details of this message.

And, may God richly bless you, as you diligently seek Jesus Christ
