Rick looks at Mark 5:24-34, where Jesus heals a woman with a 12-year-long bleeding condition. He highlights four challenges she faced: prolonged illness, financial ruin, poverty, and worsening health. After she sought help from doctors to no avail, the woman’s desperation led her to Jesus, who healed her through her faith. Rick emphasises the importance of faith as a gift from God and encourages us to look for opportunities to help those “poor in spirit” and to bring them into a relationship with Jesus.
