The Pink Angels (1971) is…uh…it’s…something. Boy, it sure is something. Here’s what it’s about: a bunch of drag queen (no, really, they’re drag queens) bikers (like, the motorcycle kind) drive across the country to go to a dance.
A cotillion.
A lady’s cotillion.
It’s problematic, often openly offensive, it has one of the most shocking and brutal endings we’ve ever seen (it will blow your mind)…and we both love it. It’s charming. It’s hilarious. It’s terrible. We love it.
