As National Poetry Month wraps up, poet Ron Baca joins us to read one of his original pieces. Ron grew up in Boyle Heights in the shadow of the East L.A. Freeway Interchange. His poetry attempts to capture and reflect on people and events that contribute to celebrating one's roots. He taught for over 20 years in the LAUSD in Eastside public schools and is currently a volunteer tutor at Homeboy Industries.
