Today on our Sojourner Truth weekly roundtable, reactions to Kamala Harris as Biden's vice presidential pick.

Trump's continued attacks on the post office and mail in voting and he revisits the birtherism strategy he used against President Barack Obama, this time against Harris.

The Democratic Party Convention begins on Monday, August 17th. The convention takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but most of it will be held virtually. Does the party platform represent the change protesters on the street have been demanding or is it just more of the same? Are progressive democrats, represented in the Sanders/Warren/AOC camp, being sidelined?

Also, access to university to Black students yet again under attack as Trumps justice department claims that Yale University discriminates against white and Asian students. Despite U.S. deaths from COVID-19 on the rise, Donald Trump continues to pressure all schools to reopen.

On the international front, a sea change in the Middle East as Israel and the United Arab Emirates strike a U.S.-brokered deal that Palestinians say stab them in the back. Tensions between the U.S. and China as well as the U.S. and Iran continue to rise.
