Today on Sojourner Truth, our weekly roundtable.

The conversation and conflict over systemic racism in the United States continues seemingly unabated. In response, Donald Trump doubles down on his racist rhetoric, part of his re-election strategy, but also reaffirming his loyalty to white supremacy. While his attacks against migrants from South of the Border has not abated, he nonetheless hosted Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and announced his Hispanic Prosperity Initiative. This, it seems, in a bid to slice off some of the Latino votes from Democrats.

The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a number of landmark decisions, including allowing Trump's financial records and tax returns to be reviewed as part of a criminal case against Trump in the Southern District of New York. This, while the Court delayed congressional access to similar records. Also, in what is celebrated as a victory for Native Americans, the Supreme Court has admitted that half of Oklahoma, three million acres, belongs to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

The latest on COVID-19 as Trump pushes for a reopening of schools and threatens to cut funding from school districts that don't comply.

Our guests are Jackie Goldberg, Laura Carlsen and Dr. Gerald Horne.
