The forces now being sent to Chicago were drawn from the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Department of Homeland Security. He has also threatened to send what amounts to his private army paid for by taxpayers to U.S. cities run by Democrats. What are the wider implications for what many are now saying is a police state. Is this a test run for what might be a controversy over the November election results?
We are just about 100 days away from election day. Donald Trump is falling in the polls and Joe Biden is leading in several swing states, is there a there there? Meanwhile, Biden revealed another part of his Build Back Better platform, entitled a Caregiving economy, but what does that mean? Trumps attack on vote by mail and continuing efforts to ramp up voter suppression, all this within the context of Covid-19 that continues its march across the U.S., leading to Trump basically cancelling the part of the GOP Presidential convention that was to be held in Jacksonville, Florida.
