This week, we watched Jumper (2008), starring Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, and Samuel L. Jackson. Having heard pretty good reviews from peers, we figured this might be a guilty pleasure scifi action romp.
It's more of a snooze-fest, we discovered. With cool action sequences bogged down by stupid exposition and a lack of likable characters, this film teeters to the edge of forgettable. The only real redeemable quality was the effects. They were cool!
Of course, Jumper has potential. You can see the roots of an interesting story, and after a few days, you don't really hate it as much. It's just there.
We finish the episode off by coming up with our own superhero showdowns! If you would like to reach us, leave us a rating & review on iTunes, or hit us up at thecriticalbreakdownpodcast@gmail.com!
