This week we rolled with another two-fer: we reviewed Angels & Demons (2009) for the countdown, and then spend some time discussing Split (2017).
While we have sworn not to do sequels, we had hopes that Angels & Demons would be a lot better than its predecessor: The Da Vinci Code (2006). Unfortunately, the tale of Robert Langdon solving puzzles nobody else understands was a one trick pony, and Angels & Demons never takes off.
There is a hilarious scene where Ewan McGregor jumps out of a helicopter full of exploding dark matter, though. It's the highlight of this film.
However, we also decided to give our thoughts on Split, the new film from M. Night Shyamalan. We give a spoiler warning, so if you haven't seen it, skip ahead or listen later!
