Kingdom of Heaven (2005) is a film that attempts to speak on current and past religious and sociopolitical conflicts while dazzling you with beautiful scenery, deep, nuanced plot, and some bloody battles. While it doesn't succeed in all of these goals, it gave us the opportunity to have some interesting subject matter — taking our normal 39% movie and instead viewing the much more critically acclaimed Director's Cut.
Directed by Ridley Scott and starring Orlando Bloom, Eva Green, Jeremy Irons, Liam Neeson, Brendan Gleeson, David Thewlis, Alexander Siddig, and Edward Norton (as well as countless other actors), Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut is worth at least watching for the tasty discourse.
