VIII Strength

The Dark Corner returns to the tarot with VIII Strength. That is, we explore the meanings of the eight card of the Major Arcana. Also, we review Black Widow. Additionally, we review Loki and Ted Lasso. As usual, we feature a dark track. We play a promo for another podcast. Finally, we shout out a couple of friends.

News and Reviews

First, we share our thoughts on trailers for new Star Trek shows. For instance, we touch upon Prodigy and season two of Lower Decks. Also, we explore why recent Star Trek receives so much criticism.

Additionally, we see Black Widow in the movie theater. While Dave enjoys the family drama, Brandi illustrates the importance of the Red Room. Also in Marvel, we watch Loki. Mostly, we explore the psychology of the lead character. Furthermore, we look at how the series addresses sexuality.

Finally, we watch the first series of Ted Lasso. While we enjoy the frequent jokes, we find the series features a lot of heart. Additionally, we watch the first episode of Masters of the Universe. We find it busy, yet wonder at where the series may lead after such a world changing episode.

The Dark Track

Claes Nordling submits Blue Skies under the moniker of Retrograth. Blues Skies features on the album, Desolation. Moreover, Retrograth recorded Desolation while in quarantine during the pandemic. As such, songs address the general anxiety and isolation over the last year.

The Feminine Critique

The Feminine Critique reviews movies and television from a feminine perspective. However, this podcast looks beyond popular releases to more genre entertainment. For instance, they also review horror films and cult movies.

The Tarot: VIII Strength

We discuss as the point the eighth card of the tarot. That is, we discuss VIII Strength. For instance, we explore the symbology behind the image. For example, a red-headed woman calms a lion. This suggests a handle over one’s impulses. Moreover, the card relates to the astrological sign, Leo.

Furthermore, we show how VIII Strength represents the cardinal virtue, Courage. For instance, a woman’s strength requires persistence. Similarly, we show how numerology behind the card ties VIII Strength to hope, disappointment, and commitment. Finally, Dave relates the card to Chewbacca from Star Wars.
