World Goth Day 2021







The Dark Corner celebrates World Goth Day 2021. Therefore, DJ Evil Dave compiles and mixes twenty-two tracks for your enjoyment. First, Dave tells the history of WGD. For instance, he explains how WGD began with BBC Radio 6. Later, influential goths like Batboy Slim coordinated events leading to a global movement.







Also, Dave characterizes World Goth Day. That is, he reveals its beginnings with post punk. Also, he points out gothic rock’s unique instrumentation and style. Additionally, he shows gothic rock’s roots in the performances of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. He also shows how reggae influenced a definitive gothic rock anthem.
