In episode 5, I discuss the contradictory messages public officials, including Idaho’s Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna and Senator John Goedde among other, continue to tell parents and school boards in regards to the right of the local school board to choose their own curriculum if they do not like a particular Common Core aligned material. I provide documented evidence proving local school districts do not have the right to choose their own curriculum and in fact by Idaho law, must use curriculum materials previously approved by the Idaho State Department of Education.
