This episode was a third birthday special! To mark 3 years since I first took the plunge and started doing these shows, I decided it would be nice to fill the first hour entirely with tracks from previous guest DJs. I had great fun cramming in as many tracks as I could, working up from 100 to 125 BPM over the course of the hour, with appearances from 21 previous guests as well as a cheeky new one from myself.
I managed to bag a very special guest for the second hour, someone I’ve been trying to get on the show for a while now - Mexico’s very own Hotmood! He’s one of the most respected, talented and prolific producers in our scene, putting out a seemingly endless string of releases on all sorts of labels, but never letting the quality slip. His tracks make regular appearances on my show and I’m proud to have released an EP on his label Discoweey.
This mix is made up entirely of his own stuff, and it’s great - loads of his trademark exotic, quirky, obscure, fruity sound and of course razor sharp production throughout. Big, big thanks to Guillermo for sending me this great mix, and big big thanks to each and every one of you who has listened to the show over the last 3 years. I really really appreciate it, and can’t wait to bring you more shows with more excellent guests soon!
