This episode features the usual plethora of tunes, freed from the shackles of bpm, genre or era constraints. The only slight difference this week is that instead of doing my usual trick of playing a few tracks at a certain tempo then changing things up suddenly, for no particular reason this time I just started slow and worked my way up. It was fun, and on the journey from 102 to 124 bpm I fitted in a selection of mostly fairly new tracks from Toby O’Connor, Musta, Scruscru, Stephane Deschezeaux, Chewy Rubs, Alexny, Sauco, Young Pulse, Boogietraxx, Les Inferno and more.
In hour two I introduce a very wonderful guest mix from Aberdeen DJs All Night Passion. I must admit that being all the way down here in London I hadn’t heard of these guys until fairly recently, but I caught their guest mix on Stephen Richards’ DiscoDaze show a few months back and it totally blew me away - there was something about the diverse but powerful selection of tracks expertly weaved together into something really exciting that had a big impact on me. I very quickly asked them if they’d like to do a guest mix for me, and I’m so happy that they said yes and put together another awesome hour of eclectic but brilliant tunes!
