Episode 89 saw me cram in a good variety of oldies alongside a load of new bits too. I took the route of starting slow and building up instead of jumping around the BPMs, kicking things off with my new one on the excellent Hot Gorilla compilation that’s storming the Junodownload charts right now. Building through a succession of new and old tunes covering funk, disco and a few flavours of house, I brought you promos from FF Edits, Le Croque, Sam Redmore, Reece Johnson, Chemars, Workerz and myself.
In hour 2 I present to you a wonderfully funky guest mix from Madrid’s Da Groove Brothers. This one is right up my street - the sort of music I love but don’t know enough about… sleazy, fonky, lower tempo tunes full of vocoders, crisp beats and bendy synths.
