As ever, it’s been difficult to find the time to lay down some tunes - the last mixes I did were in April ;-/ So, time to reflect on what’s been missed. I’m putting together some ‘best of 07’ mixes, each covering a few genres of house music.

First up, part 1 is a selection of laid-back sexy lounging beats. The mix opens with a cover of a Tears For Fears classic, which was actually released early 2006 but it came to my attention in April 07 at a party after a TV shoot in Cape Town. I love this version, but fear it’s just slightly on the wrong side of the cheese knife...

Other highlights for me are Miguel Migs’ Mesmerized and the tracks by M-SWIFT and Kerri Chandler. Fish Go Deep had a good year thanks to Defected picking up The Cure & The Cause, and the mix finishes with the Charles Webster remix.

All good, and just the right length to fit on a CD. Now I just need to find the time to deliver parts 2 and 3...
