Description

Zac & Me was a podcast run by some friends of mine in Philly. They were both musicians, so they would bring on their friends who were also musicians to make music and chat. They would then take the recordings of each and interstitch them in a fun and compelling way reminiscent of old movies where people hang out at a camp fire, jamming, rapping. I guess it actually happens in real life, too. My only personal experiences reminiscent of that were a bon fire in the woods of a disc golf course where the hippies were also performing a drum circle and one year at Bonnaroo when a friend and I kept throwing wood pallets into their little fire pits and there may have been some people with acoustic guitars or drums.

I don't play music with people--I don't really have the dexterity and my wrists lock up if I play too long. But I dick around in Garageband with field recordings and loops of the instruments I own. They took some of those recordings and added their own creative outbursts over them. I think it turned out pretty neat.

Today on the podcast is the other podcast, Zac & Me, where this is, too. Yup.

My allergies were really bad while we were doing this.
