It’s Dramatic Reading time once again — that’s when we perform a classic comic radio-drama style while commenting and making jokes about it throughout! This time we take you back to 1972’s The Brave and the Bold #99, where Batman rents the old Wayne summer home from… Bruce Wayne… himself, for some reason! There he finds his parents’ ashes and an elaborate plan to resurrect them from the dead! But before he can hatch a plan, he has to contend with nightly sleep-walking possessions by OLD MANUEL, a harpooner of local legend! Sounds like a fine time for a shaggy-haired Barry Allen to come visit, and the aforementioned brave and bold heroes are soon sunk into a supernatural plot that might break DC canon as we know it! Can Batman overcome the ghosts of his dead parents? Can The Flash be quick enough to outrace the pull of Hell? Will one or both of our heroes mix the Wayne’s ashes with booze and drink it? Hey, also, why doesn’t Thomas Wayne have a moustache, and since when were the Waynes cremated? FIND OUT! RIGHT NOW! On this week’s Zero Issues.
