We find a word of encouragement in today's text. His word picks us up when we do not have the strength to stand on our own. No matter how weak we may be, God wants us to succeed. No matter our circumstances, God wants to lift us up to help us stand. Our weakness does not disqualify us from God's love and blessing. He will walk with us and carry us if need be, to allow us to make it. He lifts up those staggering under the weight of their failures. God does not view our past as a failure but an opportunity. Like the father of the prodigal son, God runs to meet us when we return home.
