"And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.' " Luke 2.10-11
When you think about it this angelic announcement was multiple thousands of years in the making! From the moment that man fell in the garden, God had a plan that a Savior was coming. Many prophetic announcements over thousands of years would confirm this coming Savior would actually be the Son of God and He would change everything for mankind!
This announcement of the coming Christ is celebrated in the church and is historically known as "Advent." Advent is usually celebrated the 4 weeks prior to Christmas and it prepares the believer's heart for the miracle of Christmas. There are five glorious themes, which are mentioned during the season of Advent. Today we celebrate Christmas by unveiling these five themes. Merry Christmas!
