"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation."
2 Corinthians 5:18 NKJV
We have been restored and brought together again, with God, through the shed blood of Jesus. This then is the model for the ministry of reconciliation into which all of us are called. We are all ministers of reconciliation. Just as the power of the shed blood of Jesus has reconciled us to God and with God, we are also called to be reconciled one to another.
The is the answer to the prater jesus prayed for all believers:
"I prat also for those who will believe in me through their word; that they may be as one, as You, Father, are in me, and I in You, that they may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent me"
1 John 20-21 NKJV
It follows then, that our witness and our testimony are more fully complete when we are more fully reconciled, one to another. This is our Ministry of Reciliation...and here's a good place to start.
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."
1 John 4:7
