Have you ever wondered what motivated Peter and Andrew to leave the only thing they were familiar with to follow Jesus? I have heard many reasons over the years, but I believe it was hope of becoming someone different. Jesus looked beyond their present place in life as uneducated fisherman to cast a vision of what they could become in Him; men who would turn the world upside-down! Throughout history God redeems people who were in sin, unqualified, and inexperienced to be transformed and become what God knows they can be.
Today I want to address the idea of us becoming the people that God believes that we are meant to be, as those who are truly one in Christ? When we look at ourselves, whom do we see? Today, are we willing to accept the reality that we are "Redeemed to Become?" - Pastor Doug
