Description

Every year, companies ask shareholders to vote on certain proposals. Whether it's for global issues, such as gender diversity and equal opportunity, or company-specific concerns, such as executive compensation - over 90% of votes are cast during proxy season in favour of the changes posed to company shareholders. Habib Subjally, Ben Yeoh and Jeremy Richardson of the RBC GAM Global Equity team in London discuss the importance of portfolio managers engaging with companies and voting responsibly.
