Hello, Friends While watching a respected television program that featured a "scholar" from Princeton University, I had a moment of clarity regarding the need for understanding in the area of Hebraic roots. The supposed scholar and professor of religious studies claimed that Jesus was illiterate and that He never claimed divinity. She argued her point from literature relating to the "Greek" early church fathers and their councils. Her contention is obviously absurd, but it illustrates the need for greater insight into the way that first century Jews thought and spoke. This message looks at the great "I am theā¦" statements that Jesus made and how their Jewish recipients perceived them. The LCMF Staff
