Hebrews 11: (NKJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He
is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Romans 14:23 (NKJV)
But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is
not from faith is sin.
Luke 17:3-6
TPT (The Passion Translation):
So be careful how you live. If a fellow believer sins against you, you must first privately confront
that person about his fault, and if there is repentance, forgive him. No matter how many times in
one day your brother sins against you and says, 'I'm sorry; I'm changing my ways,' you need to
forgive him each and every time." When the apostles heard this, they said to Jesus, "Lord, you
must increase our faith!" Jesus responded, "If you have even the smallest portion of authentic
faith, it would be powerful enough to say to this large tree, 'My word will pull you up by the roots
and throw you into the sea,' and it will respond to your voice!
AMP (Amplified Bible):
"Pay attention to yourselves! ...”
Jesus was teaching his disciples about the extent of forgiveness and their response was
‘increase our faith!!’

Matthew 6:14-15 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive
you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses."
Mark 11:25-26 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive
him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive,
neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."
Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as
God in Christ forgave you."
Colossians 3:13 "Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a
complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do."
Matthew 18:21-22 "Then Peter came to Him and said, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'I do not say to you, up to
seven times, but up to seventy times seven.'"
Luke 23:34 "Then Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.'"

An offense is disrupting my story.
My story is how I make sense of the world.
It does not mean that it makes sense according to the Word.

Consider that Paul was a murderer.
By definition forgiveness means canceling a debt.
You don't have to pay me back.
Why does it feel like if we forgive that person it's letting go of the power we have over them?
Matthew 5:44 (AMP):
But I say to you, love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies and
pray for those who persecute you
If you're having a hard time doing that, then you may be struggling with unforgiveness or
bitterness.
