Psalm 6:10 says, "Let all my enemies be ashamed and sore vexed, let them return and be ashamed...suddenly". We know that the word enemies there means hating adversaries, those that are hostile. God is saying, I'm going to give you a sudden defeat over your enemies. But you have to understand the legalities, the technicalities, how to legally engage and defeat the enemy. If we put this in a nutshell, we know that Christ has given us victory. We understand that. But until we appropriate that victory, until we understand how to work the word, we can live a defeated life while being saved.
