This Labor Day weekend, September 4, 2016, Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC welcomed Rev. Philip Pickney to the pulpit. As we remembered recent lessons on The Kingdom of Heaven, Rev. Pickney led us through the great hall of faith in Hebrews 11-12 to paint a picture of The Kingdom revealed. Reminders of God's faithfulness to broken sinners beckon us to lay aside the weights of this world in favor of a promise yet to be fulfilled. Our understanding of God and His eternal promise is limited to the confines of this earth, and even the beautiful fellowship we experience here will pale in comparison to the glory we will forever enjoy in His presence. We are therefore called to live as resurrection people and to place our hope in the One who makes all things new!
