New EasYoga Podcast Episode 156 Join Gemma in this episode where she talks to special guest Jane Stevens.

Jane took the leap from spectator to sculpture making, as a way of dealing with complex emotions. She has experienced a lot of sadness in her life, with both her sister and father dying of cancer. Carving really has been a form of art therapy for Jane. The whole process of carving is so meditative, helped by the rhythmic sound of the chisel against the stone. It kind of lulls her into a state of active dreaming and this is when shapes begin to emerge in the stone as emotions unearth themselves in her. It can take a while for a form to become conscious and crystalize, but once it does it is sheer magic!
