This week, Ryan, Steve and Chris take time to remember a local sports legend and friend to so many, a treasured member of our CKNX family, Bill Brown.
Joining the show first is former NHLer and former Windsor Spitfires GM Warren Rychel, who hired Brownie as a scout in the OHL. Brownie was a key part of 2 Memorial Cup winning teams, and Warren shares stories of what Bill was like to work with and how valuable he was to the Spitfire's success.
Next, a former player of Bill's, Aaron Armstrong, talks about being coached by Bill and how he helped mentor him through the years, eventually becoming an OHL scout himself. Aaron shares memories of the Wingham Ironmen days and how much Brownie cared about all his players and their families.
Finally, Bill's great friend, coaching partner and golf partner, Louis Livingston, comes on to remember what a great and immeasurable friend Bill was not only to him, but his community and any stranger he ever struck up a conversation with.
