I have good friends who love God on both ends of the political spectrum. It's always good in an election cycle for Jesus-people to step back and not get too pulled into the wide-eyed certainties and resentful energies of the thing.
Our challenge is to set apart Christ as Lord in our hearts, lest our politics functionally demote him in our lives to the status,"Minister of Afterlife Affairs."
