1. Man is created in 3 parts
- soul, spirit, body. 1 thess. 5:23
- body- relate to physical world
- soul- how we relate to other people, will, desire, emotions
- spirit- how we relate to God, conscience
2. The Holy Spirit of God dwells in the human spirit of man
- we are a temple. 1 Cor. 3:13, 6:19-20; Ek. 36:26-27
3. Only the word of God by the spirit of God can cut between spiritual life and soul life
- divides to let the ahold spirit control and not the soul
