Jesus did not come to cause disunity, he did not call for violence, nor did he desire for unkindness for unbelievers. But Jesus did make it very clear that one must decide to believe or not to believe his absolute truth claim that He is the way to the Father. And he gave this message and this truth in love for all mankind.
