Meditation of the week: Psalms 22: 1-31

Text: Hebrews 12: 1-3

Word title: Look unto Jesus and consider  Him sincerely!

The Bible testifies us  of Jesus as author and finisher of our faith.   In other words, He gave us faith in God  creating faith in us. Not only has he given us faith, but he also gives us faith that we are  able to live our life that is never in vain by participating in the will of God that will fulfill for us forever and ever. When God’s will is fulfilled in Him in the new heavens, the new earth, and the new Jerusalem, our faith shall be fulfilled forever so that our faith shall be perfect.

We can’t imagine how many people had died in vain for four thousand years without faith in God until Jesus appeared in the world and he gave the salvation to the world.  About a thousand years passed by after Adam sinned against God,  the imagination of the thoughts of the hearts of all people on the earth were wicked continually except Noah and his family. all of them were buried in a day by the flood/  Also, all of them  that lived in Sodom and Gomorrah were judged by God with brimstone fire in one night  except Lot and his two daughters.  God planned to send his only begotten Son to the world, and he called Abraham, and he chose the people of Israel. God gave them the law, but most of them  followed idols. Therefore God had to judge them all by famines and plague and the swords by the gentile nations.

While Jesus was in heaven for four thousand years before He appeared in this world, he personally looked down at the earth where Satan descended and made the earth cursed.  And how eagerly he had  waited until he appears and destroys Satan that has made the earth that  he created as hell by letting God’s judgments come to make so many people serve the idols that Satan made.

Nevertheless, God created faith in a small number of  people such as Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, and David and so on until God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that Jesus could finally appear in the world. . The writer of Hebrews cheered for those of us who have been saved by the faith given by Jesus Christ over the past two thousand years as they are  watching in heaven our race of faith  overcoming sins,

The Holy Spirit is earnestly asking us now through the writer of Hebrews. ” Looking  unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”

He also says why we should look unto Him: ” who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We know from the books of Gospel and the prophets how Jesus endured suffering, insults, shame, ridicule, and death on the cross. However, the Holy Spirit says that Jesus overcame all the sufferings of the cross because of the joy that was set before him. Then we want to realize it through the help of the Holy Spirit as we ponder Him to realize what was the joy before him.

Before he created this earth, Jesus foretold that the anointed group who had covered God’s throne in heaven rebelled against God, and that the devil, who rebelled and became Satan Lucifer, would be thrown out to the earth to devastate it.:

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!…. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?” (Isaiah 14: 12, 15-17).

Heavenly Father, God, planned to destroy the anointed, the cherub that covered his throne, and to send his only-begotten Son to the earth in the name of Jesus, to anoint him  to make him as the eternal Christ. God showed the Jews scene that he anoint Jesus:

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. ‘”(Matthew 3: 16-17).

How amazing was this scene? While Satan the Devil, who rebelled from heaven, came down to the earth that God himself created, and  devastated the whole world with sin, death, and curse, God had endured four thousand years just as four days, and finally his Son He planned to send to the earth that became hell like He anointed Jesus as the Christ, to judge the fallen Satan, and bring him down to the hell, and finally cast hum into the lake of eternal fire.

But before God destroyed the Devil through Jesus Christ, Jesus had to shed his blood unto death, and rise again to make Jesus a sacrifice in order to take away the sins of the world according to the law of righteousness.

The joy that was set before Jesus himself is that when He suffered, died on the cross, and rose from the dead, he finally judged the enemy the devil. He also triumphed over the sufferings of the cross with joy, looking ahead to the salvation of all those who believe in him when he rose again and ascend to the heaven to be the Lord ns the Christ, and send the Holy Spirit in his name. The psalmist gave a witness in advance of His delight:

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.…. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

27All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations.

29All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this. “(Psalm 22:22, 26-31).

Jesus foretold the Jews and Gentiles, especially his churches, who would believe in him after his death on the cross, resurrecting, and judging the Devil to remove the sin of the world. He also set up his kingdom in heaven and on earth, especially in the age of grace, foreseeing the church that will be born again to be his bride and become a generation, and that will form his body. The old serpent the Devil bruised the heel of our Lord Jesus Christ, but his head shall be judged to be  bruised by His hand forever and ever.

Amen! Hallelujah!
