Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Tufan Demir is one of the leading voices in the Istanbul electronic music scene. A former Red Bull Music Academy participant, he studied sound engineering and pursued his passion by producing and making music upon his graduation.
It's hard to pin down his musical style since he is influenced by and proficient in many forms of electronic music. His personal influences range from ambient drones to techy dubstep but what you'll hear from his DJ sets are usually build around a solid house music sensitivity.
His latest release is a 3-track EP entitled Toy Harmonics, available on vinyl and as a digital download on the Cologne-based Lust und Freude label. His track Back To Fine, which originally appeared on the EP, was chosen by Joris Voorn as the opening track of his set at Creamfields 2010.
