分手

When you

 break up

with somebody you love, that's awful, and it takes time to get over.

I will never forget the day when we

separated.

A: Could you drink with me in the evening, I'm feeling blue today.

B: Sure. You look very upset. What's wrong with you?

A: Jack broke up with me the day before yesterday. To tell you the truth, hedumped me, I still can't accept the fact.

B: Why did you break up? Why did he part company with you after four years together.

A: He thinks we're not suitable for each other.

B: But all friends think you seem to be cut out for each other, you seem devoted to each other.

be cut out for表示“与...

A: Do you believe his excuse?

B: Of course not. He must have other reasons.

A: I knew he had fallen in love with another girl. It is difficult to see him move on so quickly.

fall in love with sb表示“爱上某人”,move on可以表示“继续前进”,在这里表示结束一段关系进入下一段关系。

B: Do not say so. Come on, cheer up. Why not do some sports with me? Sports may help to shake you out of your disappointment in love.

A: Thank you, but I still want to drink.

B: I'll go along to the bar with you.
