Chelsea is a Southern author and Chattanooga, Tennessee content creator embodying the Appalachian lifestyle of her dreams. In 2022, Chelsea decided to make the life-changing decision to take a chance on herself. With her family in tow, she packed their bags for Chattanooga, Tennessee and founded her own company, Chelsea Chatts. Now, Chelsea stays busy creating the lifestyle she has always dreamed of—a life of creativity, flexibility, and adventure As an Author & Content Creator, Chelsea is inspired to share her love for Southern culture and use her voice to advocate for environment preservation, women's rights, and child safety & education across the South. In April 2024, Chelsea debuted the first edition of her Southern poetry collection, Mud Water Will Rise. This raw piece of literature explores the beautiful aspects of Southern living including the wondrous landscape, creole cuisine, ghostly haunts, and most importantly, the love of the Southern community. However, it's not all biscuits and gravy. In fact, Chelsea spills the (not-so-sweet) tea, digging into uncomfortable topics that are in dire need of conversation to create sustainable change for an equitable South. With a four-part poetry collection in the works, Chelsea will be republishing Mud Water Will Rise with a complete collection of poems in Fall 2024. Readers can expect three poetry books to follow in Mud Water Will Rise in 2025. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Chelsea earned her degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. While the coast of California will always have a special place in her heart, Chelsea now calls Chattanooga, TN home.
